Digital Media Wire &
Present a Panel Discussion

Digital Asia:
Recent Developments & New Business Opportunities

In recent years, the Asian continent has transitioned itself from a manufacturing powerhouse to a burgeoning high-tech and Internet-driven landscape. According to a May 2001 report by International Data Group, Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) Internet users will exceed 240 million by
2005 (more than the projected number for the United States), creating new opportunities for entertainment and media companies. This panel of executives, investors and professionals will discuss the latest developments in digital media, with a focus on business opportunities, strategies and ventures being created between the United States and China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. The panel will consider, among other questions: Who's doing deals in Asia and where? Who's making money in Asia and how?  What changes can we expect with respect to regulatory and legal frameworks in Asia? What does the Internet mean to the media and entertainment industries in Asia, and what are the likely growth areas in these two fields in the near future?
