Digital Media Wire and our friends at The Deity Group did a second party together at The Venice Contemporary in Los Angeles on June 16th. Dubbed a “Download Party” after our last event, we bring technology, music and art together in what we hope you'll find to be cool new ways.

Anyone with a cell phone or PDA was able to download free, exclusive content like wallpaper and ring tones from the artists and the hip indie band Divisable
(www.myspace.com/divisible) that played live at the gallery, courtesy of the Venice Contemporary and Vector Mobile.

If you RSVP'd with your name and a cell phone number, you got a scan-able barcode or “mobile ticket” sent to your phone on the day of the event courtesy of bCode
(http://www.bcode.com) that debuted its US mobile ticketing at the event. The mobile tickets were scanned at the door which made guests eligible to win cool prizes from sponsors like Universal Music and Sony BMG.

There were three DJs playing, live graffiti, and an open bar (not a first in the art world, but always appreciated) between 7-9 provided by Red Bull, Effen Vodka, AGWA, and The Heroes.

With over 500 guests, the event was huge success and a lot of fun! See for yourself by taking a look at the photos below!

Thanks to all of you who came out and we hope to see you again soon.
