MICHAEL KOETTER Since BBC Technology's founding in 2001, Koetter has spearheaded groundbreaking projects in both the United States and United Kingdom, including BBC News 24's digital news production system. Koetter has overseen the development of innovative rich media solutions for the UK Government, BBC Production, BBC Worldwide and Hutchison 3G. Prior to working for BBC Technology, Koetter served as the product manager for iXStream, iXL Inc.'s nascent streaming media offering, later moving to iXL's Digital Media Solutions Group, where he led the development of several groundbreaking rich media solutions as a senior systems architect. Prior to iXL, Koetter worked as a freelance software engineer, video editor and broadcast engineer.
Koetter holds a Masters in Information Design and Technology from Georgia
Institute of Technology and a BA in Anthropology. He is active in a number of
professional organizations, including the AAF Association and SMPTE.
