Patrick McQuown is President and co-founder of Proteus, a leading professional services organization with offices in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, California. Proteus develops award-winning Internet, wireless and interactive television applications. Mr. McQuown's vision has led Proteus to such achievements as being the first company in U.S. to develop and demonstrate a working WAP (wireless Internet) site as well as launching a wireless voting application for the 2002 Super Bowl which represented the largest viewing audience ever presented with interactive TV, and the first to use wireless technology. Other achievements include the first interactive TV broadcast using two-way SMS in 2002, for NASCAR on FOX, wireless broadcasts of the entire MLB and NFL seasons on FOX Sports, and the first advertiser-sponsored, multi-carrier interactive broadcast on a major network, ABC's 2003 Daytime Emmy Awards, which allowed viewers from multiple carriers to vote using the same SMS short code or WAP site. Proteus' wireless division has assumed a national leadership position in the rapidly developing wireless Internet industry, a position confirmed by Patrick McQuown's prominent appearances in recent major articles about the wireless Internet and e-commerce in publications including The Washington Post, Wireless Review, Entrepreneur Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. Mr. McQuown was also the first-ever guest commentator for FierceWireless, the largest wireless newsletter in the world.

Prior to Proteus, Mr. McQuown was a federal investigator within the Division of Enforcement at the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). While at the CFTC in 1995 and 1996 Mr. McQuown spearheaded the commission's efforts to investigate and prosecute commodity fraud over the Internet. This resulted in a front-page article in the Sunday New York Times that highlighted the various accomplishments of Mr. McQuown and the CFTC. Mr. McQuown, the youngest instructor in the history of the CFTC, also served as the main instructor on a first-ever inter-agency international training session on internet fraud. The session consisted of sessions with the CTFC, the SEC, the FBI and NASD. Personnel from all agencies attended, as did representatives from over 13 countries.

Mr. McQuown holds a Masters of Science (MS) in Forensic Science from The George Washington University.
